You will not find a clock counting backward on this board, and you will not find a line saying eleven places remain. Here is the reason, stated plainly. Most of what this office sells is filed by how much notice it needs, and for the two longest tiers the notice is real: a book opens once a year, or a party is capped at a number the operating company set months earlier. The second reason is arithmetic. A struck figure implies there was a higher figure that somebody actually paid, and on a package assembled per party from air, ground and rooms, that higher figure is a fiction the moment the party size changes. The company that runs the guesthouse chain has held its own late season rate for arrivals between 8 September and 26 October. It is the same route, the same driver arrangement and the same rooms. What differs is the temperature on the high sections and how much daylight is left at the end of a stage.

Say a trip in the two-winters tier takes its whole year of bookings in a window that opened in March and closed in May. It is now late August. An offer on that trip, however generous the figure looks, has nothing behind it, because there is no inventory left for the office to request and no operating company waiting to confirm. The figure would be real and the trip would be gone. That is the worst kind of advertisement: true in every particular and useless in every practical sense.
So this board is short on purpose. Two rows is not modesty and it is not a sales method. It is what remains after the closed books come off. One-season trips appear when an operating company has released a block and wants it moved. Most-of-a-year trips appear rarely, and only early in their window. Two-winters trips almost never appear at all, because by the time a discount would help, the book is shut.
If a trip you want is not on this board, that is the ordinary case rather than a problem. The way to plan and book a trip here is the same whether or not an offer applies to it: send the request, name your dates and your party, and a written figure comes back with what is in it and what is not. The offers on this page change the figure. They do not change how the office works, and they never shorten the time you have to think.
